Environmental Design

Environmental design is a multidisciplinary field focused on creating built environments that are sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing while minimising negative impacts on the natural environment. It encompasses the planning, design, and management of landscapes, buildings, and infrastructure with the goal of promoting human well-being, preserving ecological integrity, and reducing resource consumption. Environmental design integrates principles of architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, engineering, and environmental science to address complex challenges such as climate change, urbanisation, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion.
