Inclusive Play Design

Inclusive play design refers to the intentional planning, design, and implementation of play spaces and equipment to ensure that they are accessible and welcoming to people of all ages and abilities. It involves creating environments that accommodate diverse physical, sensory, cognitive, and social needs, allowing individuals with disabilities or other limitations to fully participate in play activities alongside their peers. Inclusive play design considers factors such as universal design principles, safety standards, sensory stimulation, mobility access, and social interaction to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in play experiences.
